Per usual, the final will take place on a Saturday. Though most of the league schedule takes place on a Tuesday or Wednesday, the final is strategically scheduled to be after the completion of each club's regular season. So, they are available to play on Saturday.
For the second consecutive year, the final will be held in Portugal in a bit of a scheduling anomaly. Originally, Istanbul had been set to host the final, but because of the United Kingdom's travel restrictions due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Turkey was not an option. So, the contest was moved to Portugal instead.
