image

Bad news program, PC gamers: It looks like there will be no Drained Space 2 for you!

Ea's third fourth results for the fiscal year 2010 are about what you'd expect: Stacks of numbers, spill about things like non-Generally accepted accounting practices net revenues, upbeat phone bites from various executives and bushed entirely, as the saying goes, dull American Samoa filth. But in that respect is one bit of information that's of interest to more than just accountants and analysts: Way down virtually the underside is the lean of EA's "key titles" for the 2011 financial year, included among them Precise Space 2; and Dead Distance 2, according to that list, is being released for consoles and generically-defined "handhelds," but non the PC.

Optimists might think it's a misprint – perhaps the tick was accidentally placed under handhelds instead of PC – but Ea's public dealings department told Blue's News that, "As of right now a PC sku is non in the plan."

Could it be coming later, confusable to the Personal computer launch for Mass Effect, which followed six months after it hit on the Xbox 360? We've reached out to Ea ourselves for clarification and will update when we hear back. For at once, nevertheless, it looks like once again, Team PC is going to go without.

UPDATE: Electronic Humanities has issued a program line in response to queries or so the fate of the pun on the PC. "Unlogical Studios is dedicated to delivering an outstanding Dead Space sequel for the Xbox 360 and PS3," said Ea PR rep Melissa Ojeda. "A PC SKU is nether retainer. Aught additional at this time."
